It would be helpful if a progress bar is shown when an application is installing/updating so users are being informed about what's going on and why the gear icon keeps spinning for a while sometimes.

In the workspace window of Application Workspace there is by default the + symbol to create a personal shortcut ("Add link"). I would like to have the capability to turn this on or off so that some user/accounts don’t have the possibility to do so.
