Manage Remote Devices as if They Were on the Local Network

As an IT administrator, I want the same level of administrative access to remote devices that I have when devices are on the corporate network, so I can troubleshoot, remediate, and support endpoints without changing my workflows based on device location.

Today, many advanced administration tasks become difficult or impossible once devices are remote, internet-only, or managed primarily through cloud services. While Recast's agent-powered tools have made significant strides in bringing remote administration capabilities to these devices, I'd like Recast to go even further and enable a consistent administration experience regardless of where devices reside. This includes the ability to use built-in Windows tools, Recast capabilities, and third-party solutions just as I would for devices on my local network.

We're interested in hearing where remote administration still falls short for your team today.

Recast Agent already powers capabilities like Remote File Explorer, Remote Registry Editor, Remote PowerShell, and nearly all Right Click Tools actions against devices regardless of their location. We've seen how valuable it can be to remove traditional network boundaries, but we'd like to better understand where those capabilities still don't go far enough.

What tools, workflows, or troubleshooting tasks still require you to rely on VPNs, remote control solutions, on-premises connectivity, or other workarounds? Are there built-in Windows tools, third-party applications, or administrative processes you wish worked seamlessly against remote devices?

We'd love to hear specific examples from your environment. The more detail you can share about the tools you use and the challenges you face, the better we can understand where to invest next and what would make remote devices feel as manageable as devices on your local network.
