The current NVIDIA Display Driver application offering is using the Nvidia RTX Desktop Manager version to determine presence of the driver install on a machine. However, the Desktop Manager version does not appear to be updated very frequently, Version 205.38 released Jan 25, 2025. All the versions in our deployment (591.44, 591.59, 591.74 and 591.86 are all searching in the RTX Desktop Manager to be greater than or equal to version 6.14.10.20538). As such, systems in our SCCM environment are not updating their drivers, since they are evaluating the package as already installed (systems are already on RTX Desktop Manager 6.14.10.20538). It would better to switch the detection method to use the version for the actual NVIDIA driver.
We are working on changing the detection rules
Maybe the driver and
control panelcpl.exe (RTX Desktop Manager) should be separate updates since they update on a different schedule. We are seeing the same, the drivers are not updating because the cpl.exe version stays the same between driver updates
