The current NVIDIA Display Driver application offering is using the Nvidia Control panel version to determine presence of the driver install on a machine. However, the control panel version does not appear to be updated very frequently (at least as far back as I can see - version 591.44, 591.59 and 591.74 are all searching in the Control panel to be greater than or equal to version 6.14.10.20538). As such, systems in our SCCM environment are not updating their drivers, since they are evaluating the package as already installed (systems are already on Control panel 6.14.10.20538). Either this was an oversight and the control panel version should be moved to a newer version in detection OR it would better to switch the detection method to use the version for the actual NVIDIA driver.
Maybe the driver and control panel should be separate updates since they update on a different schedule. We are seeing the same, the drivers are not updating because the control panel version stays the same between driver updates
