Patching Catalog Updates

It would be beneficial to receive updated when software within the catalog is added or the version is updated. PatchMyPC has this functionality (they have a site as well as a email that is sent when their catalog updates). It would make determining if I need to update a piece of software that I currently have deployed much easier.
