Method to force updates for Intune applications that were installed as Available Merged

Applications that are installed by the user from an Available deployment are not forced to update when a new version is released as available.

The legacy version of Application Manager for Intune had a feature that would add devices to a group if a software installation of an available application was performed. It was then possible to target that group of devices with the update as required while still having an available option for users who do not have the software to install it at a later date.

Another option is to allow an application to have multiple different deployments to Intune and enable the ability to configure requirement rules to make one required installation of the update only install on devices that already have the application installed and one available installation option with no requirement rule.
