Filter on installed software

I would like to create device collections based on installed software.

Therefore the Liquit agent has to gather information about installed software on the devices from time to time.

With this feature we could deploy software update packages only to clients that have already installed an outdated version of the software without doing the filtering on all clients (which is currently spamming log entries).

At the same time your customers have a small software assessment available for each client.

I want this feature too. Specifically, it should be possible to define collection membership based on the following criteria:

    • Application Name

    • Application Version

    • Application Vendor

    • Application Architecture (e.g., x86/x64)

    Benefits:

    • Targeted Deployments: Ensures that only relevant systems receive the appropriate package or update.

    • Automation: Reduces the need for manual targeting and improves operational efficiency.

    • Reliability: Guarantees that updates are consistently applied to the correct subset of devices.

    Comparison to SCCM:
In Microsoft SCCM, administrators are able to build queries for device collections using detailed software inventory data. This includes the ability to filter based on application name, version, vendor, and architecture. Bringing similar capabilities to Recast Application Workspace would bring it in line with established best practices in enterprise software management.
