Rebuild WMI

SCCM Agent sometimes stops working when the WMI gets corrupted.  Reinstalling SCCM client most often doesn't fix the problem when this occurs.  An option that will remotely rebuild the WMI would make support much easier.  With Microsoft continuing to add more options in SCCM that are already part of Right-click tools, this would add to the value of the tool.

I ALWAYS use the same exact BAT script to rebuild WMI repository and it has worked every single time (See below). I've used this for over 10 years. It does require you reinstall the SCCM client after too.

REM Stop Windows Management Instrumentation service

    net stop Winmgmt /yes

    Winmgmt /resetrepository

    net start Winmgmt
    net start iphlpsvc
    net start ccmexec

WMI can break in so many different ways that there’s no way to build a complete script to fix WMI. We suggest using RCT Builder to fix WMI issues specific to your environment. Builder would allow you to create your own custom script outside of ConfigMgr to run against the box.
