Time-Based Filters for Automation & Application Availability Merged

We would like to request an enhancement to the current automation capabilities within Recast / Liquit Application Workspace. At the moment, actions are mainly event- or condition-based, but not time- or date-based. A time-based filtering feature would significantly extend the automation engine and enable many additional scenarios.

Add an option within automation and deployment flows to execute actions within a specific date and/or time range, such as:

  • Execute only between date X and date Y

  • Execute only after date/time X

  • Execute only before date/time X

This feature would ideally be available within:

  • App Deployment Conditions

  • Workspace Personalization (e.g., wallpapers)

Use Case 1: Automatically push a new desktop background each quarter

We want to automatically deploy a new desktop wallpaper every quarter.
A time-based or quarterly schedule would allow us to:

  • Automatically switch from Q1 to Q2 background, and so on

  • Remove the need for manual intervention

  • Prepare wallpapers in advance and activate them at the scheduled date

Use Case 2: Prepare and test updates in advance, then activate at a certain time

Updates often need to be prepared and tested beforehand.
We want the ability to automatically activate an update starting from a specific date/time, for example:

  • “Execute this update after Friday, 13 February at 18:00.”

This is particularly useful for:

  • Change windows

  • After-hours deployments

  • Minimizing user disruption

  • Compliance-driven environments

Time-based automation increases the platform’s power and flexibility by enabling:

  • Less manual operational work

  • More predictable and structured deployments

  • Better alignment with change windows and maintenance schedules

  • Fully automated personalization tasks (e.g., wallpapers)

  • Improved governance and compliance
