Currently various .Net packages are supported but .NET Desktop Runtime is missing. This is not the same as .NET Runtime which is already available. This is required for specific software to run. For example, Dell Command Update 5.7.1

This is odd. The default way of installing vmware tools is via the vcenter when building a vm employs the MSI install method. Not sure why MSI is missing from the catalog.

It would be helpful if a progress bar is shown when an application is installing/updating so users are being informed about what's going on and why the gear icon keeps spinning for a while sometimes.
